Wallet of Satoshi

It’s my new favorite bitcoin AND Lightning wallet…

So, I saw this on Twitter…

I thought, “pretty cool concept”, send people of El Salvador a few satoshis as they move towards leveraging bitcoin as legal tender. “I can support that”, I thought.

In this specific example, we have “litha_f” who sells pupusas in El Salvador and accepts bitcoin.

I click on the QR code and I see this…

“Ahh cool. I’ll just read this with my bitcoin wallet and send a few satoshis…”

Argh… no.

I realize that this is a Lightning QR code (I should have read the note at the top “Scan using a lightning enabled wallet” — oh well).

Wait what? There are bitcoin QR codes and Lightning QR codes?? Crap. I guess I need a Lightning wallet.

I try out a number of wallets — the interfaces suck, I can’t get them to work, etc.

Then I stumble across the Wallet of Satoshi. It can handle both bitcoin and Lightning? NO WAY! Gotta try it…
